What is ArtDog Studio? We are an art studio that creates almost anything from original art, backdrops, custom painted furniture, unique restyles, faux finishes and murals, with a specialty in Trompe l'oeil. Everyday is a new day on Black Cat Ridge! Artist Tracy Zacek has been a resident of Kingwood for 15 years. Her love of art and more than two decades of experience shows in her visually pleasing atmospheres created for events all over Houston. She has used her talents to serve on many committees including Ballet Guild, Humane Society, Galleria & Kingwood Chamber of Commerce, DIFFA and Hospice to name a few. She has donated her work and time to area schools and NCL groups. Art Dog Studio is the culmination of her vision to bring her love of art into her own community. How did ArtDog get it's name? This is a very popular question. Tracy's love of animals and art, plus the very strong backing of her husband, Dr. Bennie Zacek of VCA Kingwood Animal Hospital combined naturally to create Art (Tracy) Dog (Dr. Bennie) Studio. We offer art classes for kidz. After school art classes and the Artist of the Week program during the school year allows your child to attend when they can, starting a class anytime they want to. This program is taught by Deanna Dean, a Montessori teacher and artist in her own right. We showcase new artists. We strive to have at least six art openings a year featuring local and up-and-coming artists. During the summer months we have two art openings for the kidz and their families to share in what they have learned and created. During November and December we will offer wall rental space for artists to display work for sale during holiday shopping season. Open Studio Night Coming soon ...
